Los trabayadores aprueben el ERE de Naval Xixón

Los trabajadores de Naval Gijón han aprobado por 68 votos a favor y 12 en contra aceptar el expediente de regulación de empleo (ERE) y los despidos propuestos por la dirección de la compañía, lo que supondrá el cierre del astillero.

El ERE afecta a la totalidad de la plantilla con prejubilaciones para 55 trabajadores mayores de 53 años de edad y despidos para otros 42.
Un portacontenedores, será el último barco de Naval Gijón

La dirección de la empresa tiene previsto llevar la próxima semana a los muelles del puerto El Musel el portacontenedores C-703, para realizar los trabajos de finalización y las pruebas de navegación con el propósito de entregarlo a Komrowsky Group a mediados de enero. Será el último construido en Naval Gijón.

Desde 2004 lo gestionaba la empresa Pequeños y Medianos Astilleros en Reconversión (Pymar).

Un poco de historia

Naval Gijón comenzó su actividad en el año 1984. Los primeros barcos construidos fueron pesqueros de envergadura para armadores rusos y mejicanos y para empresas gallegas.

A mediados de la década del noventa empezó a construir quimiqueros y gaseros para finalizar con los cuatro últimos portaconteneres
